OPEL MONZA COMING BACK!

Excellent news from sleeping Opel. The Monza name badge is about to be revived in spectacular fashion after the German brand unveiled some pictures of the Monza Concept Coupe. Set to be publicly revealed at the 2013 Frankfurt International Motor Show in September, Monza aims to show all that Opel is far from being asleep.

The concept car will obviously look back a bit to the old Monza that was produced in Europe between 1978 and 1986. There weren’t that many in Mzansi, although we did get our fair share of the 4-door sedan Monza, which at the time was quite innovative and powerful for its class. For example, that car was the first to offer a digital dashboard display.

This innovative spirit will carry forward with the new car. Opel says “it introduces ground-breaking technologies for future infotainment and connectivity possibilities, showing how next-generation Opel cars will address the needs of a closely connected and sharing society.”
